Let The Political Games Continue

And there seems to be some denial on the part of the president, and other Democrat leaders. The message that was sent by the American people. When you have the most historic election in over 60-70 years, you would think that the other party would understand that the American people have clearly repudiated the policies that they put forward the last two years.”

The current batch of democrats…this full week later, cannot believe the American people.  They want to believe they just haven’t had enough time, or that their message hasn’t been fully understood, or that the Republicans have thwarted the Dems best efforts at all cost.

NOTHING could be further from the truth.  The American People have said, “We The People,” will be heard loudly and clearly and if it’s not heard with this last election cycle…we’ll be back again next time!  We do not appreciate the rules the current Dems are trying to play by or enforce.  We do not want their weak policies, nor have we indicated we wanted them in the first place!

The message the Dems spout has been heard.  They want to control our every move via Healthcare Reform, The GM Volt, and Cap & Tax to name a few.  We The People have had enough of liberalism running wild (though we liked Hulk-a-Mania)! 🙂

And, the Republicans, which the Dems have deemed the party of “No”…did the right  thing it seems by saying that word, “NO!”  The American People have responded in kind to the Republicans.  (and now those Republicans need to put up or shut up as well…or they’ll get it next election cycle too!)

Though I believe the real battle is one of a spiritual nature rather than merely political, know that We The People are enroute to reclaim the values, principles, and integrity with which America was originally founded!

In Remembrance – Freedom Is Not Free pt.2

Yesterday, I touched on our personal liberties in the physical sense given by the sacrifice by our men and women in uniform.  We owe a debt of gratitude to those lives given for our freedoms.

Today, I pay a special remembrance to another person that sacrificed it all so that we might have freedom.

In the book of Genesis we learn that God created the heaven and the earth.  We learn that the most valuable member of all His creation was man.  Man was His crowning glory.  The Bible tells us that He made us a little lower than the angels. How encouraging is that?

We learn that Adam and Eve had perfect fellowship with God in the Garden of Eden.  They had a complete and perfect love for Him. In that fellowship, they were satiated and saturated with perfect, divine love.  What a delight it must have been to visit, freely and unashamedly, with God.

The day came when Eve was beguiled by the serpent to eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.  Until that day, only Good was known to Adam and Eve.  In God’s perfect love, He allowed man to have freedom of choice.  He gave man freedom of will.  Adam and Eve acted on that will when they both ate of the Tree.

God’s only request was that they refrain from eating of the Tree.  Yet, in His perfect love, He had to allow it as a possibility. When Adam and Eve sinned against God, it started the downward spiral of man’s connection with God.  It created separation.  It immediately put a gulf, a deep and wide chasm, between God and man.  Adam and Eve sinned.  They defied God.  They lost that perfect fellowship.

But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He love us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) Ephesians 2:4-5

When sin occurred and communion with God was severed, a plan of restoration was put in motion.  In His perfect provision, God gave His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, for us.

Christ was born in a lowly manger.  He forsook His palatial glories in heaven and came to this sin infested world. He entered into the realm of man to live as one of us and to provide an example of Godly living.  He also came to give His life that we might reclaim fellowship with God.

Jesus Christ came so that He might die for mankind. His mission was to demonstrate God to us and then to surrender His for us.  His life surrendered as a ransom for our sin.  He paid the high cost for our spiritual freedom. He sacrificed His life for our spiritual renewal. He gave it all on the cross that our fellowship with God might be restored.

See, freedom isn’t free.  It requires a great price.  Our soldiers freely give their lives so that we might have earthly freedom.  Jesus Christ gave His life so we can have spiritual freedom.  And far too often we take both for granted.

So, today, I get on my knees, I lift my eyes towards heaven, and I proclaim my God how great thou art.  For today, I have freedom because Christ died on the cross for me.  And, I accept Him as my savior.
