Presidential Spotlight – Obama Didn’t Sneak Up On Us!

Barack Hussein Obama did not sneak into power. An army of clueless, disconnected, ignorant Americans invited him to bring his Marxist, glaringly anti-American jihad into our lives.

Though it’s easy to watch with a critical eye the entirety of the Obama agenda, it’s a huge concern that so many voted for this monstrosity of an administration.  Many did, and do, buy in to his ideologies.  He’s a socialist.  A Marxist.  A Communist.  A Foreigner. Likewise, his ideological supporters also find themselves having similar, if not completely aligned, sentiments for those attributes and credos that are embraced by Mr. Barack Obama.

Many though, got caught up in the glitz and glamor that Obama resembled.  The media epitomized him as a pop icon. He was placed upon a pedestal that has only been stepped-foot upon by the Christ Himself.  The masses seemed to crumble at his spoken word.  He was deemed articulate, intelligent, and of unequivocal talent and ability.  He was seated upon a white horse that only a hero of the people would ever be worthy to bridle and saddle.  He was Barack Hussein Obama, the mythological demigod the world was waiting upon to rescue it from a plight of despair.

For those who rode the wave of the Obama’s media pass, hopefully they now witness, and admit, that the same star they thought was bright, shiny, and new…was really an old hunk of dastardly ideologies in revamped packaging sold to them as something wonderful and pristine.

Still others, who weren’t taken by his renown and stardom, were just tired of the previous administration.  Rightly so. I found myself at odds many times over the course of the Bush administration.  BUT…and it’s a BIG BUT…I never found myself wondering if my country would cease to exist from day to day.   And though Bush made some hefty mistakes that are still being paid for today, he never left me feeling like the integrity, principles, morals, and pride of my country was competing for work on the local street corner to the lowest bidder.

This president’s overtly destructive, clear-and-present-danger agenda is surpassed in transparency only by his ultra-leftist public voting record and overall lifetime conduct of consorting with the enemy as a child and student of Marxism, socialist and racist community organizer, congregant of the blatant America-hating black-theology- and social-justice-spewing Rev.Jeremiah Wright and close personal friend of convicted communist terrorists like Bill Ayers, and by his unflinching appointment of an array of communist czars, including Van Jones, Cass Sunstein, Anita Dunne…!

Never were we so lackadaisical, at best, to not question Obama’s affiliations.  We didn’t question his values or beliefs. We didn’t question his views of America.  We didn’t question why, though having both a white and black parent, he chose to run as a black president rather than as a mixed president.   We didn’t ask any hard questions of Obama.  No, our fellow Americans deemed him a viable heir to the most valued position in all the world.  And why?

How did we allow Obama to happen to America?

It’s quite unfathomable!

And it’s seems silly how we did.  Let’s for a moment view Obama as a pending transaction or sale of goods. Whenever we purchase goods we begin to ask questions.  For instance, when we shop for a mortgage, we ask about the terms and the rates.  We question if this is the best mortgage for the type of housing, if we should just rent for a while,  if we should opt for the fixed rate or not. We ask if we should even buy the house and will the value of the home increase thus improving our equity position.  On and on and on…we ask and ponder.  We spend time asking the tough questions that ultimately lead us to a wise decision.

With Obama, we didn’t even care to question if he really is a natural born citizen.  It’s as if we just lost our minds and didn’t care who was in office as long as it wasn’t a Republican.  And though I know Republicans have faults, that line of thinking defies logic on all fronts.

One writer sums up those who vote for Obama this way:

You claim your intentions were noble because you simply wanted to get your child a puppy but somehow didn’t notice that it was foaming at the mouth, and now you’re shocked that your child has rabies? I think not. That is not a mistake. It is negligence — dangerous, life threatening and, I am convinced, downright criminal negligence.

Obama didn’t sneak into office.  No, we put him there.  Now, let’s correct our mistake America.

As Obama said, all too quickly in his inaugural speech, “Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America.”

That is indeed going to be a challenge. President Obama has done enough damage to last my lifetime if we don’t change course, correct the political and cultural climate, and move in a direction that is in tune with Godly principles. Obama clearly is NOT the leader we hoped or thought he was…let’s “begin again the great work”…as only “We The People” can!

Great Quotes – Welfare State

“We should measure welfare’s success by how many people leave welfare, not by how many are added.”

-President Ronald Reagan-

This is a subject near to my heart.  Not because I’ve ever had the need for welfare, but because my mother’s family, as she grew up, did need welfare.  My mother grew up one of six siblings.  Her mother was divorced when she was ten years old.

My grandmother, as a single mom, did what she could do to work to support her family.  With no child support coming in, at least not routinely or consistently, my grandmother turned to welfare.  My mother, even today, nearly 45 years later, recalls as if it was yesterday, the embarrassment she felt when people would find out.

As time passed, my grandmother worked her way off of the welfare system.  In just a few short years after her divorce, my grandmother, a single mother to six children with no ex-spousal support, removed herself from the system.  She just needed a hand-up.  She didn’t need a hand-out!

This is what Ronald Reagan was suggesting.  Welfare’s success is based on serving a purpose for a moment in one’s life.  It’s not designed to be full-time opportunity.  It’s for a season…not for a lifetime.

Yet, too many people have the cradle-to-grave mentality.  They believe the government’s role is to give them food, cell phones, houses, cars, money to shop, and anything they deem a “right.”  This mentality is what keeps people feeling constantly behind the eight ball.

It’s also the same mentality that leads people to believe that the distribution of wealth is okay, even necessary, so that we may support those who want to be on welfare.  Notice I say “want” rather that “need” to be on welfare.

Of course, the distribution of wealth is another topic for another day, however, it’s tough to discuss welfare without getting to the heart of the matter concerning continued or additional social programs. They are often related, sometimes ever-so-slightly, to the distribution of one’s hard earned financial wealth to these programs via extra, often excessive taxation, or as we’ve seen more recently, the government’s takeover of wealth.

This current batch of democrats and RINO’s, have seemingly nothing better to do than promote more welfare state status. There’s no end in sight.  And, there’s no initiative to help those utilizing welfare to get off of the system.  No, they continue to add more “rights” and more “needs” and more “must haves” to the list.  It’s an attempt, not to give a hand-up, but to give a hand-out.  It keeps people enslaved to the system.  And you thought the democrats were anti-slavery?

President Ronald Reagan, arguably the best president our country has ever had, understood that in order for the human spirit to be free, and for our country to truly live up to its potential, depended on how many people we groomed off of the welfare system.  It’s like the rising of the phoenix from the ashes…or just like my grandmother.

VeePees Playhouse – Caution: Heavy Lifting Zone

The “heavy lifting is over” when it comes to the Obama administration’s legislative priorities this year, Vice President Joe Biden said [last] Thursday evening.Biden said now that Wall Street reform is finished and signed into law, the administration could go out and make its political case for its accomplishment.

“Now that the heavy lifting is over, we can go out and make our case,” Biden said at a fundraiser in North Carolina, according to a pool report.

The heavy lifting?  Is this turkey serious? Oh my, Toto, we’re not in Kansas anymore!  And, pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.  Or rather, pay no attention to those men behind the curtain.  Obama runs the country into the ground and Biden supports all the “heavy lifting” Obama has done. The jokes coming out of Washington just don’t stop.
Biden defended the administration’s actions on economic growth, especially as compared to the preceding George W. Bush administration.

Economic growth?  When? Where?  Ha!  Answer those questions and we’ll believe you.  Where are the jobs and thus the proof of our sustained growth?  Go a grip democrats, you’re not the “hope and change” America thought it voted for and you never will be because your ideologies are based on destruction, terror, and power.  Oh, and a healthy dose of pat-me-on-the-back and tell me all the “heavy lifting is over.”

“We stabilized the financial system,” Biden said. We were on the brink of a depression … We avoided a total economic meltdown,” he said. “There are 3 million [more] Americans working today than there were before we took office.

The lies just continue to mount and now they can go boast about these huge accomplishment. They’ve pulled the country back from plunging into the deep abyss of a depression.  They’ve prevented, very well halted, an economic meltdown.  Really?  And that proof is where?  Jobs? Businesses hiring? A growing economy?  Banks lending? Just how was it stabilized?

Just as I thought…you have no proof.  But, if you’d look, you’d see the proof of the exact opposite.

“Barack and I are realists,” the vice president added. “Government is not the answer. But we also know we can plant seeds. These seeds that have been planted have generated whole new industries.”

Our VP, all the way from Delaware, done bumped his head.  He and Barack are realists.  Didn’t he just say earlier that the “heavy lifting is done”…as if they’ve accomplished great things and they can now coast and rest on their laurels.

And, the only seeds that have been planted are the seeds of socialism, Marxism, and communism. Nonetheless, Biden still says they’ve created whole new industries.  And what are those industries? Shouldn’t we have an idea what industries he’s suggesting that have been created?

Remember that song, “Have you seen them?  Tell me have you seen them?”  (Tune: Have you seen her?)

Alas, VP Joe Biden, is just another pawn in the great Obamination.  Seriously, our country can’t take another 2 years of the nonsense that this batch of democrats attempt to pass off as gold.  Vote them all out.  Leave not a stone unturned!

U.S. Congress: Moderates Are Not the Solution

“The more moderates there are here in both parties, the more of a bridge there is, the more of a potential to build a bridge between both parties,” said Lieberman, who added that it has been difficult for Snowe and Collins to do that because there are so few Republican centrists.

First, understand that I do have a measure of respect for Senator Joe Lieberman.  Many times over the years he has surprised me.  Most notably was when he spoke at a John McCain presidential campaign event when McCain was running against Obama. Lieberman believed the McCain was the right man for the country.  Commendable.

But even with his history of working as a “conservative” democrat and as an independent, at this juncture in time, we don’t need more moderates as Senator Lieberman suggests.  The idea, and even the thought of moderate, represents someone willing to compromise his beliefs to accomplish a common goal.

Yes, I agree a common goal is good, quite often noble.  But compromising, as we see Republicans do often, is the kiss of death.  The Dems never compromise. They just find more ways to insult their fellow laborers and to intimidate them into a compromise. It’s sickening.  Having moderates in the congress just increases the chances of perpetual compromise towards a Democrat imposed society; one of socialism, big government, more government handouts, and less freedoms.

When we put members in congress that are definite in principle, that have high standards for constitutional preservation, and that are guided by values bigger than selfish, power-grabbing, ambitions…we’ll then begin to move our country back to the great nation it is meant to be.

Having moderates just for the sake of getting along is not the answer. Having moderates just for the sake of getting legislation more easily passed is not the answer.  The reality is that moderates, at best, are a diluted version of progress.

We need those who are steadfast now… in a time that leaves businesses concerned if they’ll need to close their doors.

We need steadfast now…in a time when more taxation and hidden fees are being imposed by democrats and socialistic legislation.

We need steadfast now…during times of such a shaky economy and floundering market.

And we need steadfast now…during such a time when families across America are searching for work so a roof can stay overhead and food can be put on the table.

We need those that hold to the truths of our founding fathers.  Those that believe America is great and know we stand for freedom, liberty, equality, and the pursuit of happiness.

We need men and women that stand up for our values,  our families, our jobs, our economy, our military, our capitalistic system, and our unborn babies.  Men and women of honor, character, and common sense.

We need men and women, who say they believe in God and Godliness, and live out those values.

Moderates don’t fall into those categories.  Rather, they are wishy washy.  They play both sides of the fence.  We need to know where people stand.  The guessing game has to go!

More moderates? Sorry Mr. Lieberman, but NO!
